Sara Lumbreras es profesora titular en la escuela de ingeniería ICAI de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Actualmente es subdirectora de Resultados de Investigación en el Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica y dirige la cátedra de Ciencia, Tecnología y Religión junto a Jaime Tatay. Es autora de más de cincuenta publicaciones académicas y ha dirigido o participado en más de una veintena de proyectos con empresas privadas e instituciones públicas. Su investigación se centra en el desarrollo y la aplicación de técnicas de apoyo a la decisión en problemas complejos. Trabaja con técnicas de optimización clásica como descomposición de Benders, heurísticos e Inteligencia Artificial. Desarrolla su actividad en el sector de la energía (principalmente en el diseño de redes), en el sector de la salud y en el de las finanzas. Cuenta también con cinco años de experiencia en el sector privado (JPMorgan Londres). Desarrolla además una línea de investigación en filosofía de la tecnología y las implicaciones de la inteligencia artificial en antropología. Es Global Shaper del Foro Económico Mundial y Marshall Memorial Fellow.

Creación de ideas para clientes institucionales, empresas y distribuidores a nivel global. Desarrollo de índices y estrategias algorítmicas. Los proyectos llevados a cabo incluyen Income FX, Income FX2, Income EM y FX Long Short Forward Carry. Trabajo conjunto con el equipo de analistas cuantitativos para expandir las capacidades de la firma en cotización y gestión de riesgos.
